Penang's very own autumn festival (also known as Aki Matsuri in Japanese) was held on 18th & 19th November at The TOP Komtar in Penang.
Organized by the Malaysian-Japanese Society (MJS), the event celebrates Japanese culture and a fruitful harvest season. A variety of activities were held to commemorate the event such as Miss Aki Matsuri contest, Japanese dances, Taiko drum performances, Yukata wearing experience and various food stalls offering Japanese cuisines.
Golden Fresh proudly served as a Gold sponsor for the event, with Chef Ronen and Chef Leong showcasing our Miso Cod Fish in Soba noodles and Salt Pepper Squid Chunk in Takoyaki style.
Attendees had the chance to savour the culinary delights crafted by the chefs and could even buy the products on the spot.
The two-day event proved to be a success, contributing to the increased awareness of Pacific West and its product versatility, reaching beyond the local community to include the Japanese residents in Penang.
